HOW to get closer and interact with the animals who grow one of the most wonderful natural material called WOOL on their bodies AND HOW to be as EMPATHIC to them as they are to us?
Do I know where the wool of my jumper is from? Where lives the SHEEP who worn it before me? Who or what sheared the wool?
If you haven't hang with the sheep for a while you can spend a visual moment with my friends of this page.

I am a designer, textile artist and art educator based in Helsinki, Finland. In my interdisciplinary practice I like to pose questions related to emotional aspects of textile and dress. I am motivated by stories and memories triggered by the everyday aesthetics and like to create works that highlight upcycled, soften and old.
My design philosophy takes in consideration the lifespan and the feeling of the material, the story and ecosystems at large. I am also interested in the relation between textile-related phenomena and nurture such as the history of laundry making as a physical care work typically done by women.
And I really like to draw and paint wild flowers that sometimes become patterns and prints.
I have studied Textile Design at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (BA), Fashion Design at ESAD in Porto; Visual Culture Education at Aalto University; and Social Sciences and Pedagogy at Tampere University (MA).
